RSS feeds
What is RSS?RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based content syndication format used to deliver constantly updated headline feeds to readers. Developers can also use RSS feeds to pull our content onto their websites. Our RSS feeds deliver headlines, descriptions, and links back to today's stories on each section of the Mail & Guardian Online. It's an easy way for you to be alerted when content that interests you appears on our site. How do I use RSS?To use RSS, you will need to first download a special RSS news reader that will allow you to collect and display RSS feeds. Many readers are available, mostly free. We also offer an automated desktop news widget called NewsFlash that uses the M&G Online's RSS feeds -- you can find out more about it here. Here are some examples of RSS readers:
Once you've downloaded your RSS reader, simply copy the web addresses from the M&G Online's RSS feeds (see links below) into your RSS reader software, as directed.
