from ethnic unrest in north-western China’s Urumqi city on July 5 has risen by eight to 192, Xinhua news agency reported on Wednesday.

In giving the latest toll, Xinhua cited an unnamed Urumqi government official. The Xinjiang government press office in Urumqi told Agence France-Presse it did not yet have the updated toll.
